About Jake Dillon
Jake Dillon is no newcomer to country music. From a young age, Jake has been slinging a guitar strap, writing music, and entertaining audiences with songs that reflect his personal life and the real world of blue collar Western America. In Jake's early years, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley made a lasting impression on him and what would eventually become his life's passion. Jake was exposed to every style of music by his family and friends, and through his participation in music all throughout school. But his heart was always lured back to the songs that were a part of the rural blue-collar life he lived.
Jake Dillon has performed on the same stages with some of country music's greatest entertainers including Chris Ledoux, Reba, Tanya Tucker, Kenny Chesney, Marshall Tucker Band, Emerson Drive, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Montgomery Gentry, Mark Chesnutt, Neal McCoy and many others.
Now what happened between picking up his Papa's Guitar at age 9, and playing on stages in front of thousands, is no short story.
Jake was raised in rural Beaverhead County Montana, in the heart of Big Sky Country. His natural ability to sing was discovered as a youth. Encouraged by his friends and family, Jake began to feel very comfortable behind a microphone with his guitar, but it wasn't until Jake reached High School that he realized the potential of his voice and the songs he had begun to write. Performing those songs in front of audiences gave Jake fulfillment, and would form a dream that had to be followed.
Jake Dillon has always been a leader. He is considered a good family man, honorable disabled veteran, and a world class entertainer. He describes his music as country soul, blues, cowboy, and redneck and rodeo rock and roll. Jake did not forget that the whole point of making music is to allow people to realize their own happiness and losses and celebrate this life, as one world and one people with different backgrounds.
Jake has ecstatic rhythm. He can go from a country rock to a love ballad and make it a ‘one of a kind' over the top performance. Jake has a range of rhythm and tempo that makes you want to get up and dance or just sit there and feel that the song was written just for you..
Jakes rich vocals and easygoing manner made an immediate impression on music fans and the music industry.
The overwhelming beauties of the Rocky Mountains in Montana are a wonderful place for inspiration, but Jake knew he would have to leave his homestead, for the time being, to gain notoriety.
At age 30, after serving in the US Army, and as a Fire Fighter and a paramedic in Denver CO, Jake and his family packed up and headed south. Jake went to Nashville TN to reconnect with some of the great artists and musicians he previously worked with, back in his younger years.
Not long after that, Jake was asked to stand front and center as the opening act for such Country Music greats as Chris LeDoux, Patti Loveless, and Confederate Railroad, just to name a few.
It's been no short journey, but his upcoming album on Mud Bug Records Inc., called "No Paved Roads" is a true reflection of the kind of person Jake is, and what country music with a hint of western rock, and rock and roll is all about. With songs like "Cowboy Up", "7 Redneck Sins", and "Hot Dogs, Women and Beer", this album will have you on your feet rocking to good country music. Jake will be supporting this album with a cast of band members to venues everywhere.
Jake Is The Heart Of Country. Jake lives by the motto;
"DO WHAT OTHERS DREAM, TO SHOW IT CAN HAPPEN IF YOU HAVE FAITH , AND WORK TO MAKE IT HAPPEN"
"I can't wait to see you and invite you to share in this ‘one of a kind ‘ experience in life."
Thanks and God Bless
